Burning Man is thought to be the 'wildest' festival on earth as secrets of the 'moist' Orgy Dome are revealed.
Nine day-long desert shindig Burning Man is all about getting close - very close - to community. According to past-attendees, there's no better way to draw near to each other than the event's annual mass sex gathering...
Launched in 2004, the Orgy Dome sees willing participants engage in public sex with each other. Curious first-timers wanting to pop their Orgy Dome cherry took to Reddit for a bit more detail before they took the plunge.
In a Reddit thread titled 'Consent, HSV2 and the Orgy Dome - How does it work?', one account got their burning questions answered as many wanted to share their NSFW experiences.
The top rated comment simply quipped: "It's a potluck, not a buffet." However, other Redditors were more willing to provide help and advice."
One attendee said that the Orgy Dome was 'moist' and isn't even a dome at all, apparently.
The festival goer dubbed Burning Man the 'driest place on earth' - apart from the dome, of course. In the comment on the social media thread, they said: "Driest place on earth and orgy dome is still uncomfortably moist. It’s not a dome, it’s a series of carports."
While another revealed that they attended the US festival once before, and that they noticed that most people were partnered up.
Although they were looking for other couples to join in, it didn't go exactly to plan. They explained: "I went once. Everyone was pretty partnered up. I was with my partner at the time and the only people who asked to join were folks I didn’t want joining.
“People were mostly respectful about consent and space. The vibe was very heterosexual. If you’re looking for a more queer experience I’d look into events at queer camps or see if any of the sex positive camps have events for queer people specifically.”
The commenter then added: “The best orgy I attended was a strap on party at Loveburn last year. Either way, I always recommend attending the mixers/social events at the sexy camps before going to the orgy.
"It’s a great way to meet people and get a feel for compatibility/consent/attraction before entering the sex space.”
Another account wrote: “I’ve been a few times, always had fun. They put on a fun event/space and everyone we’ve encountered was super cool and respectful.
"They do a good job at the door too, making sure people are sober enough to give consent. Couples only, saw some guys trying to slide by the doorman claiming they were a gay couple, so he told them to suck each other’s dick…”
