Lingering snow is expected in parts of Massachusetts Wednesday, causing some schools to delay school.
The National Weather Service is warning people about slick travel during the morning commute.
“Take it slow,” the weather service warned.
Areas like Springfield, Worcester and Lawrence are under a winter weather advisory until 7 a.m. Wednesday. While areas like Fitchburg, Orange, Barre, Greenfield, and Ayer are under a winter storm warning until 7 a.m.
Once the lingering snow is done, Wednesday is expected to be dry. However, Thursday could bring more snow and cold temperatures.
An arctic cold front arrives in Massachusetts Thursday afternoon “that may have a few snow showers and localized snowsqualls accompany it,” according to the National Weather Service.
