DISNEYLAND was rocked by a dramatic fire on Friday as thick black smoke billowed into the skies over the "happiest place on Earth."

Fire crews rushed to the scene after a blaze broke out on the upper levels of the Pixar Pals parking garage at the Anaheim, California resort.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue arrived at 9.47am local time, quickly tracing the flames back to a Toyota RAV4 that had caught fire.

The inferno spread to several nearby vehicles.
